Today, it rained a bit!
Tbh, I’ve heard before that rain falls can get quite heavy here and that sometimes streets start overflowing. I’ve also already experienced rain here in Paraguay. But today, we’ve had substantially heavier rain falls. Everything overflowed! When crossing the streets, I once was in the water knee deep - literally water up to my knees! Luckily I had my Adiletten and a rain jacket! :D

It was actually quite fun walking through the rain. You probably just shouldn’t think too much about what you’re actually walking through…
Good Morning, Asuncion!

Today, I finally managed to watch a sunrise. It was beautiful!
Asuncion (and Paraguay in general) is very flat. You don’t have any hills within the city that you could climb for a sunset or sunrise. So, I had to wait until I got access to a rooftop. Our current AirBnb luckily has one and the sunrise really did not disappoint!
I still have to watch the stars as they should look different over here. The moon is definitely flipped, which is kinda weird. It starts filling up from a different side. But the sun looks like it’s supposed to: beautiful, yellow and warm!
Hello Paraguay :)

Arriving in Paraguay. The second stop of my journey as digital nomad. Very different country compared to Georgia and Germany. However, they do have great meat here! And I also already adapted to the very warm weather (30°C+). Drinking tons of tereré also definitely hepls!
So, life's good here. I think, I might have to learn spanish though. Nice language. And I already understand a lot. But speaking is hard. Really hard. But it's also only been a week so far. So, we'll see how it goes!
Georgia - The country, not the state.
I’ve spent the last 4 weeks in the beautiful country of Georgia. I was quite surprised to see many European flags during my stay. While I never really considered Georgia to be an European country as Europe ends for me in Istanbul or somewhere in Russia, I can totally see now why many Georgians feel European. Surely, they have a distinct culture and a unique language, but it overall didn’t feel too foreign. Maybe a bit like a mixture between Eastern Europe and Turkey. That description obviously doesn’t do Georgia justice. I’d highly recommend visiting!
The snow in the Caucasus was amazing. The food is great. People are friendly and no one wants to scam you. It’s safe and affordable.

Overall, great experience. I’ll definitely be back!
Ja(c)k of all trades
We all know the saying: "A jack of all trades is a master of none."
But interestingly, most people don't know the extended full quote: "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."
Currently being in the process of becoming a Master of one (at least officially), I always struggled with the negative connotation of the more famous shorter quote. I never saw myself as particularly narrow-minded or focused on a single field. I always valued having a broad skillset more than being a, what we call in German, "Fachidiot". I want to be able to start a fire in the woods, build a website, orchestrate an army of AI agents, make music, fight, cook, dance and many, many more. Why would I limit myself to one trade?
Of course, I see the merit in being specialised. Having deep knowledge of a particular area makes you a very valuable person in that field. But in these fast and fascinating times, I feel like becoming overspecialized is a burden. How would I even know what to specialize in? A couple of years ago people were talking all about Web3 and the Metaverse. Today, we're in the age of AI and saw a quite quick resurrection of the questionable glory of military might. If we have embodied AI, in the form of autonomous cars, robots and drones, everywhere in the not so distant future, who knows what a useful skill will be?
I'm convinced that keeping your tap dancing shoes on, always be willing to learn and not being afraid to dive into an unknown field or challenge, is the only way you can successfully navigate the future without getting one-shotted by personalized content, the alleged stability of a job or financial wealth, drugs, or an enemy soldier from the other side of the trenches. So, for me, I'm happy to be a Ja(c)k of all trades and I'm definitely planning on learning new things in different and yet fully unforeseeable fields. And I'm really looking forward to it!
Fliegen.
Doch jetzt?
Getting Started!
Today is the day when I updated my website. That was fun!
At some point, I might actually start writing some articles here. But for now, I got other things to do!
